HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY MORGAN!

Had a GREAT day today with our little girl on her 5th Birthday!  Celebrated with her classmates at preschool this morning, lunch at Applebees, some fun at Safari Adventure with her best friend and big sister, Hunter, and we ended the day with a yummy snowman ice cream cake.  Morgan is super excited for the weekend when she will have a Frozen (both girls are obsessed with this Disney movie)themed party with all of her girlfriends from school and all of her cousins.  Couldn't have asked for a nicer day!!

MRI Results

At St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Morgan's tumor remains stable! Got port removed too which means less needle sticks and less anxiety for her! At this point they can't give us any insight as to what is to come, Morgan's survival is as rare as her tumor itself, we will take it one visit/one MRI at a time. She's a fighter and we are so very proud of her! Last trip for me before the baby in April, Adam and Morgan won't have to come again till may. We are beyond excited when we get back to be celebrating her 5th Birthday on the 11th!!

MRI Update

Adam and Morgan were down at St. Jude the end of last week for yet another MRI and Morgan's tumor remains stable!! This was her first MRI since coming off her chemo (study drug) in October so we couldn't be happier! All her blood counts came way up too since stopping the drug which means she can come off her very last pill that she was taking. She is officially drug free! She's fighting this tumor with everything she's got and we are just so proud of her!  She is a walking miracle, we have so very much to be thankful for this holiday season!  We'll head back down the beginning of February.




Morgan is officially on the Chili's Menu!

Morgan is officially on the menu at Chili's Nationwide! Although, each Chili's restaurant menu selection will depend if they finished up their last batch but I'm thinking most Chili's should have the one with Morgan by now. For all of us North Forkers, I do know that the Chili's right off exit 62 on the LIE has them in!

St. Jude Give Thanks Walk 2013

Just wanted to say THANKS to everyone that supported our Helping Hands 4 Morgan Team and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital this weekend!!  With all your generous donations, we were awarded the Top Fundraising Team plaque for the 2nd year in a row!  We also won best t-shirt design!  :)  We don't have exact numbers (they are still tallying last minute donations handed in at the walk) but I believe all of Long Island raised around $100,000 and our Helping Hands 4 Morgan Team raised over $15,000 (if my calculations are correct)!!  We will keep you posted.  We are so thankful for all our family, friends, and community that supported our team, we couldn't have done this without you!!!  I have a little album on our Helping Hands 4 Morgan Facebook site or click to your right on our St. Jude Give Thanks Walk 2013 album. 

Thanks again and we hope you all have an incredible Thanksgiving!  What a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season by giving back to such a phenomenal Hospital, we have so much to be thankful for!!

Give Thanks Walk Update

There is breakfast and activities before the walk starts at 10.  We have been asked to be apart of the opening ceremony and, don't forget, our Helping Hands 4 Morgan Team are the walk leaders!  We will be heading to the Hurricane Grill and Wings in Hauppauge (totally optional and very close to walk) afterwards to eat and they will be donating a percentage of your bill to St. Jude as well, for anyone that would like to join us (no pressure!).  As of this morning our team total is $7010 and as soon as the Fitness Advantage donations are added to the total, we will be OVER our $10,000 goal and we hope to keep going until the walk!!!!!  THANK YOU to everyone that has signed up to walk and all of our generous donors, you guys made this happen and we couldn't be happier!  We are so very grateful to have such supportive family, friends, and community in our lives!  Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions.  Look forward to seeing you all at the walk!

Adam and I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to Sarah Sirico and everyone at Fitness Advantage for hosting this amazing and fun event for St. Jude!  Also, just wanted to acknowledge and THANK this awesome community that we live in, the support we have been receiving over the last 2 years is so very much appreciated and words can't describe how unbelievable happy we are to have such wonderful people in our lives.  You raised over $3000 on Saturday for an extraordinary hospital!!!  Once this money is put toward our St. Jude Give Thanks Walk Helping Hands 4 Morgan Team, we will have raised a total of over $9000!!!  We will be less than $1000 away from our $10,000 goal and (hopefully) secure our spot as the #1 fundraising team on Long Island!  Being able to give back to a Hospital that has given us so much love, support, and care means the world to us and we can't thank you ALL enough!  We are so very proud of our team, all the generous donors, and everyone that has helped us along the way!
